Around the 18th century, a small hillside in the Pokey county was converted into a coal mine. In 1902 the mine was shut down due to its low productivity and left there for what it was. When tourism started to boom in the beautiful county, a group of businessmen saw potential in the old mine and transformed it into a nice small scale theme park, still dedicated to its former purpose. ‘Have a splendid time at the Old Pokeymine!’
