The Legacy Brothers Bridge was Built in 1924, By the Brothers Legacy Construction Company.
After many years serving the Area as a freight train passage and Road crossing over the River, The freight line was retired and retrofitted for use with the city's Metro System.
Recently, The Grand-Nephews of The Legacy Brothers saw an opportunity to further develop the area surrounding the bridge, into a park for the local community.
A walkway was built Atop the Bridge, above the Road Surface, to allow pedestrian access from one side to the other.
Several small flat rides have been installed surrounding the bridge, in an attempt to draw visitors; such as the former lighthouse, which has been retrofitted as a slide, and The carousel, which was relocated from a now-defunct amusement park.
The new generation of Legacy Brothers hopes to continue to operate and run the new Legacy Brothers Bridge Park for many years to come!
