In an alternate, much more sinister universe, Nikola Tesla wasn’t an amazing selfless and genius scientist. But a synical loner and pessimist who did not want to talk to anyone. Instead of reclusing himself in a old apartment in New York City, he wanted to be able to teleport to places without any people. So he built this old facility where his teleporting-experiments would be held. He succeeded and was never heard of again...
…Fast forward to the 21st century and a rich business magnate by the name of Elon Musk bought the facility and tried to accomplish the same feat as Tesla. To distract the press and government officials he set up a fake company that would make commercial travel to Mars possible. But in secret, the ability to go that planet was only meant for himself. He upgraded the facility to be able to travel beyond earth. Just because he wanted to be alone and play OpenRCT all day. He was also never seen again…
…Only the most clever people are able to make the contraptions work in a succesfull way. Many people turn into ghosts, dissapear completely or teleport in and around the facility. The transport pods installed by Musk are the only safe way to go from one place to the other inside this facility. At least, it seems somewhat safe…………..
