My entry for this mini contest is Cyclone Roller Coaster at Sandspit Amusement Park in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is a Schwarzkopf Wildcat (54m) model.
Cyclone, same name, originally stood at Rocky Point Park in Warwick, Rhode Island from approximately 1984 to 1995 when the park closed. The roller coaster was then bought and sold at auction to Sandspit Amusement Park (operated by Maritime Fun Group) where it has been operating since 1996.
It is one of two roller coasters at Sandspit, with the other one being a kiddie coaster called Mini Cyclone Roller Coaster.
Believe it or not, Sandspit is not the only amusement park with a roller coaster in Prince Edward Island, as just literally down the road is Shining Waters Family Fun Park which has savvyadam’s entry Buccaneer Bay Bullet.
This is my first attempt at recreating an existing roller coaster, and due to the awkward layout of the Wildcat (diagonal hills in a figure 8 layout that cannot be done in RCT), I am pretty happy with it!
Hope you enjoy!
