MoonCorp's Alpha base just keeps getting hit with bad luck. After their trusty rocket broke down, they decided it would be a good idea to instead build a space elevator which actually used part of the rocket structure for support. Since no flat ground could be found, an unusual hump was made in the track so the elevator could pass over a nearby hill. Little did they know the hill was home to a shady underground society, biding their time until their final ascension.. You may find them when you rotate the screen.
Anyway, it turned out the space elevator was not powerful enough, and prone to overheating. The mechanics who were underqualified just ran around in panic instead of fixing the elevator. So instead of launching back into space, people stuck on the moon started using the ride for pleasure!
