Autumn Gardens (a small fairground) thought it be a good idea to announce a duelling boomerang roller coaster. But when it came time to actually order the ride from Vekoma: the park's manager (likely half asleep at the time) ordered a traditional Vekoma boomerang (inversions and all) and a family boomerang instead of the duelling family boomerang they hyped up for months.

When the parts arrived, and were ultimately put together: the manager got asked by the owners... "Where's the second family boomerang?" The reply from the manager: "Blame it on the orange soda and rum chaser, I had when I ordered it."

And, that's how Orange Soda (the family boomerang) and Rum Chaser (the traditional Vekoma Boomerang) at Autumn Gardens gained their names.

The park manager's quirky naming and design choices are all over Autumn Gardens, although one ride from a previous management team remains: a launched freefall, now themed to of all things: a bottle cap coming off a bottle of lemonade.
