"The Sanctuary" is a large, you guessed it, animal sanctuary. In the park itself, these tigers (and other animals in different areas of the park), have been part of zoos and have had numerous human encounters (think... Tiger King), therefore are used as a teaching tool for why animals like this shouldn't be kept in captivity. Other animals that have been seized in other ways, (illegal importing, shut-down zoos, etc.), are housed on a 750 acre reservation with no human interaction whatsover (food is ziplined in). While they won't be released to the wild, they can live their lives without interuption to the best ability of the sanctuary.
Every dollar raised from "Cat Fight" tickets goes to The Sanctuary, while donations around other areas of the park go to additional organizations raising awareness of the issue. Enjoy showings of Planet Earth and learn how we can help save the rainforests (tigers are named after some of the biggest rainforests in the world!) while you're at The Sanctuary!
