For my entry, I imagined a section at the back of a small wooded park. There are a few parks like this in the US, mostly small amusement parks with one major coaster (often wooden). For the layout, I started off trying to emulate a GCI design, but I found that the trains simply ran out of steam faster than I expected. So, I made a slightly larger scale for the start. I like the aspect that some newer GCIs, as well as RMC hybrids, provide in sideways airtime, so I included a few twisted airtime hills and a bit of trick-track. My favorite part of the layout is that I hid a small ravine in the back of the park, which conceals the double-down after the mid-course brake run from a north- or east-facing camera. Guests would not know about this element until their first ride. One functional note: the MCBR does not actually have a block section. I found that it slowed the final portion of the ride too much, so I instead stuck a block section in the pre-lift. It would be silly in real life, but it allowed me to add a third train while keeping a more realistic pace.
