One of the world’s oldest rollercoasters was build in 1914 and is still operating in Tivoli gardens, Copenhagen. Due to a recent discovery it actually turns out to be a copy. In an old Chinese zen-garden the original version is built within a rock formation surrounded by water and bamboo forests. Neat little zen-gardens are there to make the people happy and relaxed. A similar story can be told about the world-famous caterpillar coaster that is seen on many fun-fairs. This rollercoaster finds it origin in the same Tivoli Zen Gardens.
Tivoli Zen Gardens is furthermore the home to the oldest Koi fishing pond, has got a floating pagoda tower and a healing Buddha statue. It is a shame that this lost gem of a park is not known and that is why I brought it out to show!
