The wealthy shipbuilder Lord Robert Walter Sleigh, known by his friends as Bob Sleigh decided we wanted to try his hand at something other than shipbuilding. Using his experience of molding wood into different shapes we created this brand new type of amusement ride behind is Manor House – Lord Robert Sleigh’s Ride. He started opening his estate to the public and his ride locally became known as the Bob Sleigh Ride. Know you know how it got invented and how it got it’s name.
