In the rugged canyons of the Grand Staircase region in southern Utah, USA lie the old hideouts of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the last true outlaws of the American West. In what was once a labyrinth of slot canyons, fault-lines and hoodoos is now one of the most unique theme parks in the world. The park includes a rickety old mine ride built from the remains of an old silver extraction mine cart system, a high-drop river rapids in newly formed and geologically unique Lake Powell, a motion simulator built into the belly of a rock formation, and a high-flying chairlift to provide guests with a birds eye view of the labyrinth of slot canyons which cut through the regions sandstone. But the main attraction is the pair of white behemoths at the center of the park. Built of rugged Ponderosa Pine from high on the canyon walls, these unique dueling wooden coasters now roar through the same narrow passageways as their namesake outlaw duo.
