The year is 1959 and Austria have decided to host the World’s Fair to improve their international reputation and showcase all the lovely things their country has to offer. The main draw of Austria’s exhibition is a massive 2-kilometre side-friction rollercoaster which tours an impressive man-made alpine mountain. Whilst travelling around the huge mountain, visitors gently pass through a host of traditional Austrian landscapes, including an alpine village, a slate mine, an imposing castle, a rustic farm and some giant waterfalls.
