It's the year 2095 and mankind has further evolved into a spacefaring species. The biggest hurdle taken was colonizing the moon. After some time mining all of its natural resources, it became clear we are not alone. Giant fluorescent slugs and enormous spiders roam the land. The first few hundred we managed to capture and use as slaves in our mining endeavors, but there were too many... Houston decided it was time to retreat before we were murdered and eaten by these terrible creatures. From the parts of the old spacecraft used to get here in the first place we (but mostly our slugslaves) managed to build a contraption to eject us back into space. The only fault they made is that they used air to propel the launch vehicles, and there is close to none on the moon. Therefore the machine wouldn't work and all of the moonmen are doomed.
