Disney. When you hear that name, you tend to think of family-friendly movies and even more family-friendly theme parks. Parks that tend not to have a lot of (or any) thrill rides that coaster enthusiasts can sink their teeth into. This entry is our exploration of what could happen if Disney wanted to compete with the likes of Epic Universe and Islands of Adventure.

Introducing Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. this high-speed Intamin LSM coaster gives riders a forceful, adrenaline-pumping, airtime-filled tour of the Moors, allowing them the sensation of flying with Maleficent herself. You’ll start in an abandoned, overgrown cottage, fly through a giant magical tree, swoop through deep trenches and enchanted forests, and have an exciting near miss with a real waterfall!

And speaking of the Moors, this new section of any given Disney park takes place after the events of both movies in the Maleficent franchise. Humans and fairies have made peace and founded a new village together, where you can eat gourmet nosh, ride some fun flat rides, and relax while you watch the coaster go by.
