Some small, mysterious ruins floating above ponds were discovered somewhere in South America, by an engineer who designed rollercoasters for a living, acting merely as a tourist. Though it didn’t pay the bills, archeology was his second passion in life. Locals say the ruins were built by aliens. Sadly, since ancient aliens are seen as a joke by many in this world, he struggled to find anyone interested in these ruins, and many believed he was lying. To encourage more people to visit and see for themselves, he convinced the locals to let him build a small amusement park there, and designed a launch coaster as the center piece. As people came to ride the coaster, which he named Artifact, they saw with their own eyes the ruins were real, and the park has been a destination for adventurers ever since.
