From 1903 to 1987, the Monday Logging Company was a small lumber mill that sat off a spur of the Hex Line Railroad in northern California .

After its closure in 1987, Monday Logging Co. sat abandoned until 2004, when the adjacent land was purchased by the Bru family.
In order to bring more tourism to their small family winery, the Bru family set up a small fairground, and bought the old logging company in order to refurbish it into a new ride for their roadside attraction. The Monday Logging Co. was then repurposed into a new river rapids ride called Firewatch, reusing the main sawmill as the station building.

The fairground is currently open for the Bru Acres Winery Fall Celebration from October 16th through November 30th and will reopen next year for its usual operating season.
