After the Geauga Lake project had failed, Six Flags tried to answer Cedar Point's dominance in Ohio one more time. In a Cleveland suburb, they opened Six Flags Birdtown. The park started running well, but age took its toll on the big RCCA wooden coaster Brainstorm. It became rougher and rougher every year until guests started calling it Painstorm. The time had come to do something, the time had come to call RMC. They got to work and converted the rickety wooden coaster into a launched Hybrid Coaster that broke several records, like The Most Inversions on a Hybrid Coaster, The Fastest Inversion on a Rollercoaster without a Mechanical Launch and The Steepest Drop Following a Combined Chainlift and Launched Hill. With this beast of a ride, Six Flags Birdtown was ready to take on Cedar Point.
