VIEWING NOTES: 1) In terms of following the course from queue to finish, turning the map counterclockwise (against the default) is the way to go. 2) I did my best to use cut-outs and clever visual trickery for my dark ride and queue sections, so cutaway view won’t be necessary. 3) As usual, it’s best viewed with OpenGL.
Welcome to Gravity Falls! This highly immersive theme park land will transport you to the mysterious small-town paradise from Alex Hirsch’s imagination, where you can eat some delicious home-style grub, ride a few rides, enjoy the Pacific Northwestern vibe, and visit the world-famous Mystery Shack.
Speaking of which, we know exactly why you came here: to enjoy this park section’s signature ride, “Bill Cipher’s Revenge.”
Manufactured by Mack Rides, this state-of-the-art Stryker Coaster is equal parts walk-through attraction, dark ride, and roller coaster. As you wait in line, you’ll take a tour through the Mystery Shack’s museum (guided by Soos himself) and subsequently find out that Bill Cipher –everyone’s favorite evil triangle– has escaped from the Theraprism and is out for revenge. Thus, it’s up to you to help Dipper and Mabel stop him by boarding the Quantum Gatekeeper (your ride vehicle), venturing into the woods, and vaporizing his statue. However, since you’re a bunch of inexperienced tourists, the mission naturally ends up going pear-shaped. Or should I say, triangle-shaped! >:) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What follows is a rip-roaring adventure as you attempt to outrun the Isosceles Monstrosity. You’ll slalom through the forest, see some other supernatural creatures, and get tossed through all sorts of funky elements, including the first-ever backwards barrel-roll-down-drop. It’s so intense that you’ll actually feel like Bill was inside you!
Inspirations for the layout include Voltron, Revenge of the Mummy, and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
