Stage 1
At the outskirts of Almere in the province of Flevoland in the Netherlands there is a half built castle. Building on this castle started in the year 2000 and was planned to be a wedding venue. Due to financial problems the building was stopped and it became a modern ruin. In 2013 the location and the castle was bought by Ton Theunis a fan of fantasy and theme parks. He decided it would be a great plan to build a theme park there. As the opening date was coming Witchworld had some more financial problems. Thanks to this they had to buy second hand attractions to make at least some money. This was not at all what Ton had in mind but it was everything he had at that moment.
