The Ministry of G-Forces was commissioned by the emperor of a brutal desert land to revive some ancient ruins into an upstanding theme park that would entertain the locals while also symbolizing the extent of desert power. The Ministry got to work surveying the site while also doing hard psychedelics for inspiration. In their research they encountered a problem: the locals did not like them, or the mainland attractions they pitched.

These people were simply not entertained by rides that were popular elsewhere, and no one could figure out why. Ministry planners knew they had to find a way to please this jaded audience, or lose their precious funding and pay for the boat back home. As one engineer was explaining the situation to the Shadow People in his vision, they informed him of the unifying theme of cyclical reversal that permeated every aspect of the culture. This was the idea he needed.

After downing more drugs the engineers got to work, and ideas were had. The absolutely vicious main-attractions Dehumanization and Sum were designed around an archaic form of Knot Theory where two strands cross at one end. Not everyone understood it at first, but the core idea offered great appeal; the forward trip and the backward trip were different. These dueling coasters and the similarly bizarre rides that accompanied them were smash hits, turning Paradigm Palace into a spectacle that had to be seen to be believed.
