Invent-Your-Own-Ride Contest

I have made a tutorial on how to use the OpenRCT2 cheats to make your own rides. Now I want to see yours!

  • Rule 1: You have to make a map with at least two tracked rides which are modified using the OpenRCT2 cheats. You could think of things like putting chain lifts on the entire track to make them faster, using elements from other rides, changing the car type, or changing the number of cars per train. Check the tutorial mentioned above for some ideas on the kind of rides you could go for! Shoestringing is also allowed! Try to make your rides into a unique experience!

  • Rule 2: The deadline for this contest will be on Friday the 26th of July, 2019!

  • Rule 3: In this round, you are not allowed to use custom scenery and objects. You are only allowed to use objects from the base game and its expansions. There's one exception in this round: You are allowed to use a custom palette! You can either use one you found somewhere or you can make your own. I have made a tutorial on custom palettes you might want to check out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2epMQ_6tU1s

  • Rule 4: Maximum map size for this round is 40x40 tiles.

  • Rule 5: Besides the previously mentioned tracked rides that have to be modified, you are also allowed to put 3 extra functioning tracked rides, like a car ride, river rapids or mini golf, and 3 extra functioning rides with a base, like a launched freefall, a merry go round or a maze. With a functioning ride, i mean that the ride is either Opened or in Test mode. These tracked rides do not have to be modified using cheats.

  • Rule 6: You are allowed to put unlimited amounts of trackitecture. These trackitecture rides all have to be closed.

  • Rule 7: The most important rule: Have fun!
