A very popular coaster type that you see at more and more parks is a Vekoma Family Boomerang! A family boomerang is a coaster where a train is first pulled back up an incline, after which it is released forwards through a layout with several hills and twists, before it reaches a spike at the end of the track, where the train reverses again! It will then traverse the layout backwards again. Most of these family boomerangs have a custom layout, and they can be a great way to fill some space in a park. There are dueling versions of these coasters, and some of them are intertwined with the layout of an inverted coaster!
Rule 1: You have to create a map with a Vekoma Family boomerang! You can choose the track type yourself (Looping coaster track with junior coaster track for the lift hill is recommended)
Rule 2: You can choose the vehicle type yourself, but it must be a sitdown coaster vehicle (a 2 seater vehicle like the wooden articulated coaster or a junior coaster vehicle is recommended).
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 13th of July at 19:00 CEST!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v1 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v1 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 800 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 40 x 20 tiles, or 28 x 28 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
