Mini Gerstlauer Bobsled Contest

In this mini contest, I want everyone to explore a coaster type which I haven't seen many people build in their parks yet, but which is getting more and more popular in parks all over the world! In fact, you may have already ridden one of these coasters without knowing it! For this round, I want everyone to build a Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster! Now, you will probably be thinking why are we doing another bobsled coaster contest? That is because the Gerstlauer Bobsled has nothing in common with a Bobsled coaster.
In fact this coaster type looks more like a wild mouse! If you're curious what these coasters look like, I suggest looking up a few of them! G'sengte Sau is one of these coasters which is built around a nice castle at the park Tripsdrill, Or you could look for Vilda Musen, which is a Gerstlauer Bobsled at Gröna Lünd, which is intertwined with a Schwarzkopf coaster! There is also the coaster Tiki Waka at Walibi Belgium which opened not too long ago. So, what makes these coasters so special? What you will usually find on these coasters is single car vehicles. Their layouts usually, but not always, have a section with tight curves like a standard wild mouse coaster does. What sets these coasters apart though is that they usually also have some fast sections with curved drops and banked helixes! I personally really enjoy these kinds of coasters, as they offer a much more complete experience than a standard wild mouse coaster!

  • Rule 1: You must build a small park with a Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster as the main ride! The coaster must use single vehicle trains! For the train types, I suggest taking inspiration from real Gerstlauer Bobsled coasters!

  • Rule 2: The coaster layout must have one or more small unbanked 180 degree turns like a normal wild mouse, and it must have a section with one or more banked curves. Because of this, you must use at least two different track types in your layout.

  • Rule 3: The maximum map size will be 20x20 tiles!

  • Rule 4: There's no limit on the amount of other rides you can put in the park!

  • Rule 5: You are not allowed to use any custom scenery, custom rides or other custom objects in your park, except for a custom palette! For OpenRCT2-official objects, please check the rules section on my Discord server to see which ones are allowed!

  • Rule 6: The deadline will be Saturday the 24th of October 2020, at 7 in the evening, Central European Summer Time!

  • Rule 7: Have fun!
