Mini Park Entrance Contest

Hey everyone,
With the amount of people joining my Discord lately, and the ongoing quarantine, I think it’s a good time for a new fast-paced mini contest! In this round, I want everyone to build a park entrance on a small map! To get you started, here are some tips:

- First off, you should place the in-game park entrance somewhere on the edge of the map, and make it invisible. The only reason you need this is to make the guests enter your park. You can completely ignore it later on. Then you can get to work on the building that looks like the actual entrance of the park.

- Every park entrance is different, but there are some elements that you can see in most parks. Typically, guests first have to go to a cashier, to buy tickets, for the park but also for parking. The cashier can be in the form of a gate, where guests enter from one side and pass through on the other side, or it can be in a building on the side. One cool trick you can use is to make an invisible ride, so guests will queue up in front of the cashier.

- When you make the cashier in the form of a gate, you should also leave some paths open for guests who have a season pass, or guests who bought their tickets online.

- After that, there is usually a gate, where the tickets actually get checked and the guests can enter the park. In some parks, the cashier and the gate where the tickets get checked are combined into one, but this is typically only done in smaller parks.

- In many parks you will find toilets close to the entrance. You will also often find a souvenir shop or food and drink shops right after the entrance.

Rule 1: I want you to make the entrance to an amusement park! The entrance should at least include a cashier, and a gate where the guests pass through to get their tickets checked. You can also combine these into one if you prefer that. The default park entrance gate through which guests enter the map should be made invisible.

Rule 2: You are not allowed to have any visible functional rides. You are allowed to make functional rides, to make something like a dummy queue, but they should be made invisible, or hidden underground or in a building. A ride is functional when it is Opened, and can be ridden by guests.

Rule 3: You are allowed to put as many rides that are closed or in test mode as you want.

Rule 4: The maximum map size is 20 x 20 tiles! I suggest decreasing the map size or using a blacktile palette to cut off the tiles you don't need. Here’s a bench you can use which already has a blacktile palette enabled: https://drive.google.com/open?id=141uC7gOVcQc_WLV5BTz8HeoMcYUG5wi3

Rule 5: You are not allowed to use any custom scenery, rides or other objects in your park, except for a custom palette!

Rule 6: The deadline will be Thursday the 23rd of April 2020, at 19:00 CEST!

Rule 7: Have fun!
