It's time for our second Park Creation Contest! Everyone who joins will get 6 months to recreate an existing park! You will be scored on how well you recreated the park, but feel free to take some creative liberties!
Many players have recreated rides from existing parks in previous contests. Some players have also done a full park recreation. Recreating an existing park can be a fun challenge, so with this contest you now have an excuse to do so! You can choose any park that exists or has existed in the past. You can recreate the park at any time period in its existence! You can even mix in rides from different time periods, if there are some old rides you want in the park!
Rule 1: You must recreate an existing amusement park! It can also be a park that existed in the past! You can choose any time period from the park's existence, you can also mix parts from different time periods if you want to build some rides that did not exist during the same time period.
Rule 2: You can decide how faithful your recreation is. Because RCT2 is a game on a grid you won't be able to recreate everything 100%! Feel free to take some creative liberties, especially in ride layouts and locations! In the end the voters will rate your entry on how well they think you recreated the park, and on how nice it looks!
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 16th of September 2024 at 19:00 CEST! To prevent rushing, you will not be allowed to submit your park before July 2024.
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v1 bench. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: There is no minimum or maximum size for the map for this round! You can decide how much space you need to recreate the park of your choice!
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
