Rocky Mountain Construction, better known as RMC, has built many hybrid coasters around the world. Some of them are built from the ground up, but they have also done a lot of rollercoaster conversions, where an existing coaster has been transformed into a hybrid coaster! In this contest, everyone will have to convert a wooden coaster into a hybrid coaster!
You can choose any of the pre-saved wooden coaster designs that came with RCT1, RCT2 or their expansions! You can also copy one of the wooden coasters that are pre-built in any of the official scenarios from those games!
Rule 1: You have to place one of the original pre-saved wooden coaster designs from RCT1 or RCT2 or their expansions in your park. You can also use a design that was pre-built in any of the official scenarios. You must then convert the coaster into a hybrid coaster. You are allowed to change the layout however you like (scale it up/down, change track layout, add inversions, etc.) and you don't have to follow the exact same footprint of the original coaster. You must tell the viewer in a story which coaster you converted, so it should bear at least some resemblance to the original wooden coaster.
Rule 2: You must use the official OpenRCT2 Hybrid Coaster trains. You are allowed to mix in other vehicles in the train.
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 27th of March at 19:00 CET!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v1 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v1 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 3000 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 60 x 50 tiles, or 30 x 100 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
