Hey everyone! One of the first contests we did was a triple launch coaster contest! A triple launch basically means the coaster is first launched forwards, then backwards, and then forwards again. A triple launch can be done right from the station, it can be done from standstill using some form of transfer track or turntable, or it can be somewhere in the middle of the track! Examples of coasters that have a triple launch are Gold Rush at Slagharen, Top Thrill 2 at Cedar point, or Fury at Bobbejaanland. I have made several tutorials on how to make one of these coasters, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make one of your own!
Rule 1: You have to build a coaster with a triple launch section. The train has to get boosted through the section forwards, then move through the section backwards, and then get boosted forwards again with a higher speed to make it over the hill. Because boosters don't work in the backwards direction (yet), it is not necessary for the train to actually accelerate when going backwards.
(A backwards - forwards - backwards boost is also allowed if you manage to boost trains backwards)Rule 2: You can use any coaster train type and any track type.
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 26th of November at 19:00 CET!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v2.3 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v2.3 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 2400 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 40 x 60 tiles, or 48 x 50 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
