Difficulty level: Very Hard
Hey everyone! While most drop towers cater to guests who really want to ride something very intense and thrilling, there are also drop towers which are made for families to enjoy. One of these kinds of drop towers is a parachute drop tower. Riders ride in one of several vehicles which are suspended below a structure which sits on top of a tower. They are slowly hoisted up, and are then gently dropped down, braking well before reaching the floor.
The way I like to build these rides requires a shoestring with lots of different tracks, and it is definitely one of the more time-consuming rides to build. However, the end result will usually look pretty cool! It's definitely a good choice for any park that still requires a high ride. It will definitely be an eyecatcher in the park.
You can also decorate the top however you like, the top that is depicted here is how one of these rides looked in one of the Six Flags parks in the US, but often they are very nicely decorated with some structures or buildings on top.
