Hey everyone! There are two hotkeys in Rollercoaster Tycoon and OpenRCT2 that are essential for placing scenery at a different height.
Pressing and holding the SHIFT key can be used to raise an object off the ground or lower it down.
If you hover with your mouse over an object, and hold the CTRL key, you can keep building at the same height as that object. While still holding CTRL, you can now also press and hold the SHIFT key to once again change the height of an object.
