Difficulty level: Hard
Hey everyone! You may have seen some people create large tunnels or cut-outs in their walls or floating islands in their parks. This is also possible without the usage of custom scenery, but it requires a bit of trickery with the tile inspector! There's quite a bit of potential to screw things up, but the end result can look really nice! In the image below you can see an example of this trick being used by Hobeon in his 2-Hour Mini Contest entry.
Doing this requires you to raise the land in front of the wall in the shape which you want the tunnel to be, copying extra surface tiles on the raised land in front at ground level, and then making the raised surface tiles invisible. Then after that you also have to copy some surface tiles on the tunnel part inside, and add some walls! The video below does a much better job at explaining it! In the video I explain how to perform this trick both for tunnels and for floating islands!
